We are a community choir that comes together for the prime purpose of having fun through making music. Some of us may not be the greatest singers. Many choir members have hardly sung since leaving school before joining The Meridians. But the voice is the musical instrument you are born with and the easiest to learn to use at any time in your life. Reading music is not vital. Sure it helps but in rehearsals we work through our parts step by step and, through our web site, we distribute recordings to practise to at home. So everyone can get there in the end.
Supporting charities is a bonus and we have raised many thousands of pounds for a number of good causes. Members give a weekly sum of £2.50 and apart from a small contribution to support the church hall this all goes to charities we choose. We meet to practice on Wednesday evenings, 7.00 at St. Mary's Church Hall, Bluntisham. There are no auditions. We welcome new members at any time (especially men) so if you could do with a new interest and want to make new friends, just give us a try.
